Steven was born on 6th December 2003..
Dear loving son of Alan & Jane..
Special brother to Samantha, Rebecca, Melissa, Michael. Alexandra, Christopher & Matthew..
A loving Grandson, Nephew & Cousin...

Steven was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma (a rare & very aggressive childhood cancer) on 3rd
November 2005...

He underwent numerous rounds of intensive chemotherapy, had 8 hour major surgery & several weeks of
radiotherapy...

During his 14 months of treatment he also needed blood & platelet transfusions, a stem cell
transfusion & a bone marrow transfusion...

He also had x-rays, ultrasounds, C.T. scans, bone scans, M.I.B.G. scans, bone marrow aspirations and
several different medicines...

On 5th December 2006 the day before his 3rd birthday we were given the worst news possible...that
Steven had relapsed with a tumour behind his eye and that no more treatment was available for
him...

Over the next 7 weeks the tumour grew bigger and Steven got steadily weaker to the point that he
couldn't even sit up on his own until on 22nd January 2007 he could no longer fight this cruel nasty
disease and at 4.50pm he died peacefully in Mummy's arms with Daddy at his side...

Steven touched the hearts of everyone around him, not only his family & friends but Doctors, Nurses
& Staff who looked after him at St.James's Hospital, Leeds & Calderdale Royal Hospital,
Halifax...Who we cannot thank enough for their love, care and dedication that they gave not only to
Steven but to all of us as a family...

Steven was a very courageous, happy and an extremely special little boy and his memories will be
with us all forever...

He will be missed always...
